About Us
Hoosier Landmarks for Learning Inc. connects Hoosiers to their history. We encourage the interest, maintenance, and preservation of natural and manmade local landmarks. We seek to promote community engagement and education of these significant locations by creating programs and activities that allow the public to get up close and personal with their historic surroundings. Our hallmark project is a free library serviced out an authentic 1875 one-room schoolhouse built in Shelby County, Indiana.
We offer guided tours through Meltzer Woods, one of Indiana’s last remaining “old growth” forests. The Covered Bridge Country Cruise is a self-guided driving tour that features two historic covered bridges while also highlighting notable sights and stops along the way.
